Going through some code issues on the site… like, you know, entire sections not working.

So, to play catch-up, a review of Civil War #1, the new Apple Store in the city, and… something else will be up tomorrow.

During the week I advertise my “solid” posting schedule. Yeesh.

The new, 13-inch glossy widescreen MacBook has hit the Apple Store website today, and, in a stunning change from the norm, is available in both the usual Apple White and a glossy black. Also of note, the screen itself has a glossy finish, which has been found in PC’s for the better part of a year, to enhance color and clarity. It would also appear that you can, for no charge, upgrade the custom-built MacBook Pro (in both 15 and 17-inch models) to have the glossy screen, as well.

It’s $1099.99 for the 13-inch, 60 GB hard drive, 512MB RAM, 1.83 GHz Core Duo model, $1299.99 to upgrade to a 2.0 GHz and a SuperDrive, and $1499.99 for the upgrade to the 80GB black model.

This leaves us with the question: Is the media event that is happening on Thursday just a revealing of the style of this MacBook, or is something else planned?

…and, odds are, President Bush will be making it impossible for me to see How I Met Your Mother and Two And A Half Men.

Man, this is annoying.

He’s a legend in the gaming world; he has raked in about $300,000 as a “Professional Gamer;” and, now, he has his own line of gaming accessories for the PC.

That’s right, Johnathan Wendel, more commonly known by his gaming name ‘Fata1ity,’ has unleashed a gaming mouse of his design on this cold, calculating world.

And the world responds with a resounding “And I give a crap why–?”

More on this later, when I come home from work and get a few nerd’s reactions on the thing.

According to MacRumors.com, there will be an event held in the new Manhattan Apple Store on 5th Ave. this coming Thursday, the 18th. There is speculation that it is being held to announce a new iPod or iBook…

…Details will be posted as they become available.

It’s the week after finals. After I had a job interview. And working about double the hours I have for the past few months, since we’re down two people.

So, eTM has been a little neglected. However, its got a fresh coat of paint, and I’m spending most of the weekend resting up, since my ability to keep my eyes open is only slightly shorter than the attention span of an ADHD kid on coke.

Be back Monday, unless something awesome happens before then.

My Mom just put on the David Blane: Drowned Alive special that is on ABC tonight and, I gotta say, this guy is a tool.

I mean, really, he was so much more interesting when he was doing street magic. He’s got some idiot giving him some encouragement, telling him how wonderful he’s doing. I have that, too… it’s called a “puppy.”

And, as of this moment, Blane, who claimed he’d beat the record “or die trying,” just got pulled out of the tank because he couldn’t do it. He was shaking, blowing bubbles out of his nose… you know, drowning.

Blane is now getting his soundbites in, as he addresses the crowd. “I am so humbled,” he announces, “by your support.” Does this mean that maybe he’ll figure out that doing stuff like this is stupid? And, frankly, this wasn’t support people were giving him… they were there to watch him die.

You can hear shouts of “we love you, David,” but it’s not true. They were there for the same reason that people slow down at the scene of a train wreck; they want to see a corpse. If that’s love, I hope I remain unloved for quite some time.
“I don’t think there is anyone here who thinks he failed,” the announcer just said. Uh, dude? He failed. He didn’t break the record, and he didn’t die.

I’m sure I’ll edit this later to be more coherant, but that is for later. Now, I am off to White Castle.

There is a new part of the sidebar, right above the ads, where there is the ‘Tip Jar,’ where you can donate any amount of money you’d like to me.

Why a tip jar? Why now?

Well, for starters, I’m a college student. This site doesn’t pay for itself, and neither does clean underwear. Also, my current job is giving me about 2 hours a week, so that ain’t cuttin’ it.

So, if you feel so inclined, throw a dollar or two my way. Thanks.

In a lawsuit filed against Apple Computer, Apple Corps, the record company of The Beatles, alledged that the use of the familiar Apple Computer logo in the iTunes Music Store was a breach of a trademark agreement that the two companies had come to in 1991, where Apple Computer agreed to not use their logo in any recording ventures.

The decision came in today, with the judge finding in favor of Apple Computers. Apple Corps has said they will appeal.

Read the full decision here. Thanks to ThinkSecret.com

…so updating? Yeah, not gonna happen, since I’ll be camping.

See you on Monday, folks.
