As I mentioned way back here, I had gone to one of the days of shooting for SPIDER-MAN 3 that was being done in the city, right in front of City Hall. I didn’t bring my camera, since I didn’t want it taken away by overzealous production security, but I got a few shots with my cellphone, most of which came out completely crappy. The only one that came out looking semi-decent was the one I took right before shooting started:

SPIDER-MAN 3: Shoot

As always, give it a click to see the image full-size.

My buddy St. James and I woke up at 3 a.m. (the time we’re usually just getting home from a night of drinkin’) to hit a train to get us in the city for a 6 a.m. call. It was pretty sweet, not gonna lie.

Also, yesterday, the teaser trailer hit the web (which you can see here). Looks sick, even the parts involving Venom (a character that I hate). Also of note in the trailer is the clear inclusion of someone on a glider, throwing pumpkin bombs.

SPIDER-MAN 3: The Hob/Green/Whatever Goblin

SPIDER-MAN 3 hits May 2007, making it, as far as I can recall, the next big comic-based movie.

No, GHOST RIDER doesn’t count.

…and, not gonna lie to you, I’m pretty stoked.  MetaCritic has it at a 74, but I figure that will change in a few hours, hopefully for the better.

I hate being sick; not only do I have absolutely no desire to write anything, I get all sulky and not funny and emo and stuff.

Not only am I sick, however, but I’m now also working 40 hours a week, along with 10 hours a week devoted to school. Then there’s (shameless, mysterious plug warning) Just Another Tuesday Night, which has taken a great deal of my time, as well as the mundane day-to-day crap I gotta do.

I have several movies to review (M:i:III, X3, and Nacho Libre), a crapload of comics that need reviewing (52, anyone?), a bunch of essays that I have hand-written in a notebook that I wanna type in here, and that whole Pimp Yo’ Pod series that is written, but needs to be posted.

So, bear with me… we’re experiencing technical difficulties, at a pace that would make The Flash’s head spin.

I’m still trying to decide what side I’m going to take about the big reveal in Civil War #2; I’ll jot down my thoughts tomorrow.

The Telegraph is reporting that the ‘world’s funniest joke’ was written by a guy named Spike Milligan… apparently, a lot of detective work went into this, and everyone they asked not only confirmed that it’s the sort of joke that Mr. Milligan would write, but also proclaimed how proud they were that the joke still worked, after all these years.

The joke goes like this:

Two guys are out in the woods in New Jersey, hunting. Suddenly, one of them falls over, eyes glazed, no longer breathing. The other hunter, in a panic, calls 9-1-1.

“Help!” he exclaims; “I think my friend is dead!”

“OK, sir, calm down,” the operator replied. “The first thing to do is to make sure he’s actually dead.”

“Alright,” the hunter responds. There is a silence, then a gunshot is heard. “Now what?”

Well, we can be sure of two things of this entire situation: (1) Spike Milligan wrote the thing, and (2) it’s a joke.

However, “World’s Funniest Joke?” I don’t think so.

Google went into a Beta of it’s new Spreadsheet program; after I registered, I began to wonder how long it would take for Google Word Processor.

Not long, it seems.

Damn, I’m good.

…and I was there.

I will upload photos at another time, since (A) I have to finish writing some sketches for a major retail chain that we begin shooting tomorrow, (B) I’ve been up since 3 AM, working until now, and (C) they’re on my phone, and I need to get the cable to transfer ‘em.

And there will be photos/stories to go with it.

In SITE UPDATES, a new ERT3 site should be up by the end of the week… which will be good, since content has to be done by the end of the week, thanks to an external deadline.

Finally, the Tony’s has been boring as hell, and even The Wedding Singer couldn’t save it.
