It was announced today that Heath Ledger, the Academy Award-winning actor for Brokeback Mountain, has been cast as The Joker in the sequal to 2005’s Batman Begins.

There’s a “Lance Bass, Brokeback Joker” joke in here, but I’m not gonna be the one to make it.

It’s eD! - a - Palooza, the week-long buildup to the original streetdate of everyone’s favorite eD!  So, since I will be busy the majority of the week, I plan on just linking to stuff that is awesome, weird, or awesomely-weird.

With “The Soup” going on a multi-pass.

This is welcome news for everyone but my bank, who will now see $5.99 come out of my account every 8 weeks. You know, to pay for the multi-pass. ‘Cause that Joel McHale is a funny, funny guy.

Gonna shut up now.

As you may or may not have heard, Joel Siegel walked out of a screening of CLERKS II, screaming on his way out like a child denied some Jolly Ranchers.

Which is a shame, ’cause what he flipped out about became the biggest laugh in the flick for me.

My laptop died last night… seems to be due to a clogged heatsink, which is kinda lame.  So, I’ve brought the desktop back to life; issue is, the keyboard I have attached to it has a wonky “n” key, making typing difficult.

Gonna try to boot the laptop one more time to move my Firefox bookmarks to here, hopefully to make this whole experience easier.

Stay tuned.

AMD, a computer processor manufacturer, has bought out graphics card giant ATI for 5.4 billion dollars.

A fan questioned the writers of 52, asking how a bunch of “white guys” can effectively write minority characters. Grant Morrison went on a tirade about the fan “judging him,” assuming he’s just a caucasian instead of a Scot, a group of people oppressed by the English for 500 years. The rest of the panel couldn’t tell if he was kidding or not.

I hope ‘not.’ Given that every other skin tone has a whole bunch of subsets, it’s not cool that the Scots and Irish, who were also oppressed for a few hundred years, are grouped with those who held them down.

Thanks to Newsarama for mentioning this. Maybe I’ll go on a longer rant about it later.

As of this writing, a site called iKlipz has the full-length video of SUPER-SIZE ME on their site. Maybe it’ll be taken down, maybe it won’t… I dunno. But, as I watch the movie, which, so far, has made me roll my eyes quite a bit, I thought maybe I’d jot down my thoughts.

So, here goes…

The reviews are in, and LADY IN THE WATER is M. Night Shyamalan’s worst-reviewed movie to date.

And, thankfully, it’s not my job to see it and review it, thus leaving me free to see the much more important CLERKS II.
