Happy 85th birthday to Smilin' Stan Lee, co-creator of Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and... well, every major character from the Marvel Universe, take out Captain America and Wolverine, and you've got it. (And, no, Venom and The Punisher don't count as "major" characters, since they suck. And, yes, that's just my opinion, but it's my blog, so, therefore, it is an absolute on this side of the internet.)
Here's hoping you have a whole bunch more, Stan... and I hear not making a stupid cameo in Marvel movies helps that. But I'm not a doctor, and have nothing to back that up.
And thus ends the nightmare that is working retail during the Joyous Holiday Season™, so that I can return to the nightmare of just working retail the other ten months of the year.
Anyway, I found this video on YouTube that I thought would be classy for the day. So, here you go, and I hope you have a happy late December holiday of your choice.
The trailer that has been playing with non-IMAX showings of I Am Legend for The Dark Knight has hit the internet. And you can watch it here.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go back to watching it for the 14th time, since it's so damn awesome.
Two new international posters have hit the 'net for the movie that is most likely in no way going to match my expectations at this point, The Dark Knight. Check 'em out, since they're pretty sweet.

Also, be sure to check out I Am Legend to see the first non-dumb trailer for TDK, and, if you see it in IMAX, get ready to see a mini-movie featuring Heath Ledger as everyone's favorite Harlequin of Hate.
That is, if you have a Mac.
See, if you open your Software Updates program in OS X, and have GarageBand, you'll see a new update in there. And, if you've got GarageBand and an iPhone, you'll be interested to hear that there's a new "Send Ringtone To iTunes" option in the 'Share' menu. You might also be interested to know that if you drag a MP3 or AAC file into the GarageBand window, you can take any song (that isn't bogged down with DRM, naturally) and make it a ringtone.
This makes me happy on all sorts of levels, between not having to pay for iToner (although I did pay for GarageBand, but whatever) and certainly not wanting to spend $0.99 for the honor of using iTunes to make a ringtone on a song I already bought. Hopefully, this does that to you, too.
You can read a full tutorial on how to do it on Apple's website, and thanks to The Unofficial Apple Weblog for pointing this out.
...Leopard isn't so bad. In fact, it looks like a bunch of my network issues are being caused by my router.
Which sucks, since that means I have to rework my router. Which is annoying. So minus five points for that crap.
...I buy another 250GB drive for my MacBook and install Tiger on it, because Leopard is turning into the devil. I keep losing my wireless signal, a few of the programs that come bundled with it are not functioning right, and I'm pretty sure it conjured a river of blood at one point.
Although that last part could be an exaggeration.
Did'ja see the new trailer for Speed Racer? 'Cause damn if it don't look awesome:
Between this and The Dark Knight, 2008 is looking like it's gonna be pretty sweet. Movie-wise, anyway.
Uruloki has posted some photos from The Dark Knight, including one that shows off Batman's new suit and the remainder giving us a much better look at everyone's favorite Clown Prince of Crime.

There's a few other photos on there, too, all of The Joker and, I gotta say, even though the face paint-and-scarring look bothered me initially, I'm really starting to get into it.
UPDATE: Seems the site that had the photos got a cease-and-desist call from your friend and mine, Warner Brothers Studios, asking for them to take the things down. Which is a shame, since they're really quite awesome. Too bad there's no cached version of the page somewhere on the internet, huh?
No, seriously, I couldn't find a cached page with the other images. Sorry. I did look. And I sure ain't gonna incur the wrath of the WB Legal Team by posting them here myself.
